IBC Tote
These come in a variety of sizes, the most common are the 275 gallon and 330 gallon size. Costs for used totes range from $75 to
$120. Be sure bottom faucet is working. Totes are a cost effective way to store liquids.
RHUL100 Leaf Eater Ultra Rain Head, 3" & 4" Round Dual-fit
Fits 3” or 4” downspouts. $80 with shipping. Beside leafs, this also screens particles.
Vent cap screen to go over air vent
PVC Vent Screen This is a 2” PVC vent cap to keep out insects and rodents. $31 with shipping.
Tote cover
Amazon has these for the 275 or 330 gallon totes. $33 each. This is a must to eliminate algae growth.
6.5” tote lid with two 2-inch outlets
Amazon has for $16. Replaces the top lid on the tote to provide two ports.
Husky Liquid water level gauge
Global Fueling Systems
This fits the 2” lid outlets and measures inches of water inside the totes. Other types of gauges available on internet.
2” PVC pipe
Two inches will handle a very large downpour. Smaller diameters can work.
2” rubber connectors
Connects between the tote outlets and pvc pipe. A rubber connector facilitates connecting and disconnecting.
Rusco spin-down & sediment trapper filter 2”
Various sizes available: 1.5”, 1”, and ¾”. The 2” is $110. A variety of micron mesh sizes available. A lot of advantages with this type of
filter: it can handle high water volume and the sentiment can be seen and easily cleaned.
2” clear pvc pipe
Enables view of water inside the piping. The outside diameter is same as standard PVC but the inside diameter is not equivalent.
